Rules and controls
ChromaHide is an original third-person multiplayer camouflage hide-and-seek game for browser play. Create a room, invite friends, hide by matching the map, and replay fast rounds.
Open the play page, enter a nickname, then create a private invite room, paste a room code, or use an optional public lobby for quick-join tests.
When the host starts, one player becomes the seeker and everyone else becomes a hider. A short role reveal explains your objective before the round begins.
The seeker wins by catching every hider. Hiders win if at least one hider survives until the seeking timer ends.
Match flow
Players wait in a private room. The host can copy the invite link, adjust simple settings, and start when enough players are ready.
Each player sees whether they are a hider or seeker, plus a one-line objective so nobody enters the round confused.
Hiders get a short setup window to move, choose material, sample surfaces, rotate, freeze, and pick a convincing hiding spot.
The seeker is released, tag and scan actions become active, and hiders must decide whether to stay still or panic move.
The result screen shows who won, who survived, who was caught, and clear next actions like Play Again or Back to Lobby.
Play Again keeps the same room, resets player states, and rotates seeker when appropriate so groups can keep playing.
Hider role
Hiders should feel like they are creating a disguise, not just clicking a color button. Material choice, surface sampling, body rotation, and pose control all matter.
Seeker role
The seeker wins by reading the map. Look for movement, silhouettes, shadows, mismatched colors, and players who chose the wrong pose for their hiding spot.
